New Year's is Comin' Baby!

   Wuddup Gang!?

Hey I hope everyone is enjoying their Holidays! I myself had a wonderful Christmas...busy but awesome.  I guess that's how its supposed to go though right? One thing is for certain, you can't put a price on time spent with Family. We had 19 at our Christmas table which you would think would be on a "Home Alone" type tip but it was actually really well organized by my Aunt. Oh and you can't forget about the food...wowzers! All in all it was an amazing Christmas. My dad just got his old band back together and since he's a singer, I figured I'd get him a new Mic. Needless to say he seemed pretty stoked to open it up. I got a Car Starter for my whip which for those of you up in Canada know is a necessity! I've also been told that I will be doing some traveling for music in the New Year so I am really lucky that I also got a new Korg Micro Keyboard to bring with me on the go!

On another note my G, Lil' Thrilla is back in the city. He was away on business for a minute so it's great to have him back for the Holidays.

I'd like to wish everyone a Happy New Year! Make sure that you get wild but be safe in the process! For those of you who are coming to my crib for the party...i'm telling you now it's gonna get wild. We on that Belvedere, Crown, Patron, Champagne and Hors D'oeuvres Tip so get ready! I'm will be spinning and taking requests as long as they don't suck. hahaha no but seriously...let's try and keep it good!

Ok gang I just finished a new beat that will be available in the New Year and it's about time that I get on to the next one. God Bless.

Here and There

    Wuddup Gang?!

So I don't know about y'all but I'm in full Christmas mode. I'm working on some music right now with my tree done up beside me, garland lit around the fire place, and a hot chocolate you feel me?!

I had a good weekend and I hope you guys did as well. I checked out my homie's shop, Skye Wear in downtown Ottawa and grabbed a couple pieces that I'm gonna rock at my New Years Party. I also heard from my guy Niko Doughski about one of his new records that I produced. the hook is Bonkers and I wish him all the best on his upcoming album. Other than that, I quickly reached a couple of clubs to show some love to Fam and really that's the whole weekend. A little social, a little business, a little laziness...definitely my kind of weekend!

In regards to my Frozen Beat Entertainment stamp and my own music career, I'm hoping to have some very good things in the works coming within' the next 3 to 6 months so stay tuned. You guys know me by now, if it's not official, then I won't touch on it until it is. Shout-out to those who do just run their mouths though, at least when your caught out in a conversation with them it's something else to listen to...beats talking about the weather I guess.

Well, it's another beautiful Sunday to be alive and I'm gonna take advantage of it by doing whatever I want. I hope y'all can do the same ! Be safe and thanks for stoppin' in.

Feelin' The Holiday Season!

  Wuddup Gang!?

Sorry I've been away from the blog for a couple days...they have been nuts! They've also been full of good news though. First and foremost, I got the stitches out of my face yesterday and the scar is looking pretty good, some might say kinda sexy even!

With regards to the status in my music career, I had a great lunch meeting yesterday and I'm hoping that I may have found the management connect that I've been looking for. See, I've been doing great selling music independently directly amongst me and the artist, but I've always been looking for the right person to represent me and handle all of those affairs on my behalf. This company and in fact the individual I met with has their business game on point and made me feel quite confident moves can be made in the New Year. This way I can focus on producing and making beats and I can have the other end handled properly. Anyway, I won't go further into this until it is official but things are looking up.

Yesterday I spoke to an old friend who happens now to be running Skye Wear located @ 189 Rideau St. in Ottawa, Canada. I told him I'm gonna swing by the store tomorrow and see what's really good so I'll let you know once I check out the spot. It's good to see the homies doin' their thing though...nothing wrong with that entrepreneurial tip! Anyway I'm feeling inspired right now so I'm gonna get back to the music and I'll catch y'all in a couple! God Bless.

Fix your Face! (look at own discretion)

    Wuddup Gang!?

So I'm back at it again this time picking up a new knock. I had a hockey game on Sunday night and I received a high stick in the face from some plug. I couldn't believe this dudson attempted to tell me he didn't even touch me! However, his tone quickly changed when I simply stared back at him as blood spilled from my chin. After spending the night in the hospital, my chin seems to be really well stitched and everything is as it should be.

Anyway, I'm just working on some new music in the studio but thought I'd tell y'all about my Sunday night. So much for relaxing to Football and Stevie Segal movies huh? Below is a small clip of my stitches being finished up followed by a couple pics.  Look at your own discretion. I'll catch y'all before the weekend!

Patron In My Cup.

      What's Good Gang!?

Well it's another incredible Sunday morning in Ottawa! I just put on Kanye's, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and feelin' much more positive today. It was a tough week for myself and the family so I thought what better way to end it off than knocking down a few shots of Patron for my cousin.

Friday night I got a chance to catch the Danny Fernandes ft. JRDN, AutomaticLuv Tour. JRDN sounded 100% on point. He's a tall dude and he definitely has a good stage presence. I'll be honest I hadn't heard too much from him until the show however, after seeing him do his thing, I'm gonna go pick up the record and if y'all like good music...I suggest you do the same.

Sean Frost, JRDN, Sorin (In Touch Media)

Danny Fernandes killed it. Everything sounded official and his stage performance was ill. His choreography really surprised me as I was not expecting it to be so polished. Anyway you already know what it is, dude had like 5 singles or something off of his debut album so you know AutomaticLuv is packing heat! So I guess my next mission is to run these two some beats and see what's really good!
                                               JRDN, Sean Frost, Danny Fernandes

After the show, I stopped in @ Ritual Night Club to see what was poppin' with the Dilln Whytes Official Mixtape Release Party and let me tell you something...The joint was packed. The party was live and full of good peoples so shout outs to everyone that was holdin' it down there!

Well, it's looking like it's going to be a great Sunday...football, some studio work and hopefully a good Steven Segal afternoon movie! hahaha Aight Y'all, have a good one and I'll get at you throughout the week. God bless

Just Not Feelin' It

   Wuddup Gang?

So remember I told y'all that there were gonna be posts on this blog when things aren't going to be happy and positive? Well...this is one of those posts.

Yesterday was an incredibly tough day and I still find myself burdened with the feelings of empty sadness and the feelings of anger and frustration. I've been trying to work in the studio for about two hours now and have honestly not been able to accomplish anything.  The weekend was good but I'll tell you guys more about it when I feel better...I just need a day or two and I'm sure I will be back on Friday.

This post is for everyone going through a tough time right now...try and keep your head up. I know it's much easier said than done but at the end of the day you have to keep going and focus on the positives. That doesn't mean to forget or push aside your troubles, but I mean let them make you stronger and have a better appreciation for life. Anyway I'm no preacher...just letting y'all know how I'm feeling. Don't take loved ones for granted. Peace

Hoping for a Good Weekend

Wuddup Gang?!

Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving and Black Friday. Shout Out to my brother Mathias who's in the trenches of the shops right now in NY. Anyway I hope that there are some Artists out there this weekend that are ready to grab some music off of me. I sent out a few beat packages this week so hopefully I will hear something within the next couple days. Things have been really good as of late so I definitely want to keep the movement going. Speaking of a movement, I spoke to my dude Niko Doughski  yesterday and he let me know one of the joints I produced was in its final mixing stage. I think there might be room for one more joint from yours truly on the album but we'll see what's good.

I also put two more records in my player today so make sure you check them out on the right side of the screen. It's funny putting records in the player in that you don't want to put up what you believe are your hottest beats because then the element of mystery is gone, but then you're thinking "if i don't put this up how is it ever going to sell?" That's what I thought when I first started putting records up, however, I was quickly proven wrong once I started getting contacted to send out beat packs. Furthermore, out of the four original records I posted, one of them has already been taken...This is a good sign! Oh and no need to worry people, I have plenty more ammunition in my arsenal so if you're looking for production hit me up and we can discuss from there. I'm gonna keep it short today but I hope y'all have a good weekend and if you're trying to get your shop on...keep it sane people. hahaha

Danny Fernandes- AutomaticLuv Tour

     What's Good Gang!

So I left you guys just before the Pauly D event @ Parliament Ultra Club on Sunday Night...well it was crazy. First of all, I Tweeted about the event earlier in the day and Pauly then ReTweeted (which is always a good look). I then showed up to the club hella earlier than usual to find the line stretching around the corner! Luckily it was my guys at AEM Entertainment doing the show so i didn't have any problems getting inside. Furthermore, I wanna thank them and the club for hooking me up with one, if not the best booth...so Thank You. Anyway back to the event. The club was packed...definitely at capacity and there were women everywhere! If you were a single guy, it would have definitely been a good look being there. Pauly did his thing and even though I'm not big on going out on a Sunday...it was a great night. Here's a clip of Pauly's entrance...notice how he's wearing a Paris Police Shirt?! Yessirrrr!!!

On to the next one right? Well that's exactly it. Friday, December 3rd. It's going down again at Parliament Ultra Club with Danny Fernandes featuring JRDN. Danny will be performing hits off his new album AutomaticLuv so you're not going to want to miss out. It's another AEM Entertainment event working along side my best friends of In Touch Media so you know it's going to be official!

Anyway That's what's going on with my life and music for today and I will for sure be putting up some new music in the player this week. Thank you to all the artists that have been getting at me as of late...much love to everyone! Talk to y'all in a couple!

DJ Pauly D

    What's Up Gang?!

Happy Sunday to Y'all!!! Let me start off today by talking about EVOL, my boy Pascal AKA's Movie Premiere at the Mayfair Theatre. I went to the Premiere on Friday and when I showed up to the spot I couldn't believe how many people were there. Anyway, it turned out to be a sold out show and the movie was awesome. There is another showing tonight @ 7pm so if you're in Ottawa you should definitely check it out!

Tonight is also the night that DJ Pauly D is in Ottawa! My guys at AEM Entertainment are throwing a HUUUUGEEE Block Party tonight at Parliament Ultra Club. This event is going to be crazy and will definitely not disappoint. If you have your tickets already then I'll see you there...if you don't...then get on it ASAP! For info on purchasing tickets click HERE.
Shout Outs to AEM Entertainment and Paris Police Clothing!

This weekend has been crazy so I've only had time to bang out one beat in the studio but things are going well. I've definitely been a lot more motivated since starting up the blog and receiving all the support from y'all. I'm gonna post some new music in my player this week and let you guys know what I've been working with.

Well that's it for me for today. Enjoy your Sunday and have a great rest of the week! Let's GO!!!

Recovery Day

What's Good With It Y'all?!

I hope everyone had a good Friday and Saturday and now recovering comfortably at home. I took it easy on Friday night and worked in the studio so not much to tell there. I sent a few beat choices down to my man Santino Sosa in Kansas City for his upcoming album so I'll keep you posted on his decision and definitely get the record up here once its finished! This guy has crazy talent so I wish him the most success with this album...not to mention he and the rest of The Cake Boys took real good care of me while I was down there. Shout Outs to my dude Archie Archer as well!

Anyway Saturday night was the Xzibit show at Capital Music Hall. Billz definitely got the crowd buzzing after smashing the opening set. The show was pretty good. Everyone did their thing and Xzibit hit hard with all his classics. Here's a quick clip of Mr. X to the Z getting the crowd going.

Anyway that's what it is...productive weekend overall but I gotta get back to the lab so I'll let y'all get your Sunday recovery on. Enjoy your Church, Football and Family Time Everyone!

Xzibit- Capital Music Hall This Weekend

Hey Guys,

So what a week! First of all my ankle is getting better but as you can see it still looks terrible...
But whatever it is...can't let a little torn muscle, lots of swelling and bruising throw me off my step right? riiiiiiiiiiiiiight.

Aside from the ankle injury, I was driving during rush hour on Monday when I could see traffic coming to a stop up ahead. The right-hand lane beside me merges into my lane so naturally everyone is trying to slide into my lane and get as far ahead as they can. I have no issues with this as I'm always just listening to music and doin my own thing anyway. So I come to a somewhat quick stop with the traffic ahead of me and take a look in my rear-view mirror only to see 'buddy' behind me looking at his radio. Ok he's about 10 feet back so I'm thinking "yeah he's gonna stop"...wrong. Dude finally looks up and slams on his brakes but (as you probably guessed) hits me. I thought I would have been angry but the thing is I watched him from my rear view mirror the whole time and I gotta tell ya, his face just as he looked up was priceless! I was kind of chuckling when I got out of my car and I could tell he felt bad...and stupid (especially after I reenacted what his face looked like after he looked up and saw me)! The damage wasn't much but I am going to require a new back bumper but at least no one was hurt.

On the music front, Mr. X to the Z, Xzibit, will be in town on Saturday at Capital Music Hall along with Bizarre from D12, Global Syndicate and My dude Billz. Even though it was last minute, I reached Billz today to see if he has room in his clique for two more so we'll see what's good. Either way it should be a good night and I know he'll merk it as always. I've done a few joints with the man and he's always on his P's and Q's. I'll keep all ya'll posted as to how the event goes!

Stay Up and Be Good!

EVOL The Movie

What's Good Gang?!

I hope everyone had a good weekend. I had a pretty quiet one myself as I worked in the studio Friday night and had a few drinks with the boys on Saturday. Oh I also started my singing career on 'Rock Band' for XBOX 360...Let's just say I should stick to producing and leave the singing to the professionals!

More importantly, I spoke to my dude Pascal AKA concerning his new movie EVOL that is set to premiere at the Mayfair Theatre in Ottawa on Friday, November 19th @ 9:00pm and Sunday, November 21st @ 7:00pm. I've done some work with Pascal in the past so I thought I knew what he was capable of but after seeing the trailer, I'll tell you straight up this movie looks dope. Don't just take my advice though and check out the trailer for yourself. Hit up the EVOL website and see what's really good!
                                                            www.evolthemovie.com

Anyway my ankle is still in rough shape. I'm going to post a series of pictures showing how messed up it really is! Other than that there are a few things in the works but we'll get into them when the timing is right. I hope y'all have a great week ahead and remember to try and enjoy life as much as you can...it's too precious and too short to do otherwise.

Thursday, November 4, 2010

Almost Friday Everybody!!! I've finally got my voice back. It took 5 days but I'm happy to no longer sound like the killer from 'Scream'. I visited my dude yesterday to see how he was holdin' up and I had my phone sex operator voice going on lol...made for a funny visit anyway.

With regards to music, I was talking to Niko Doughski yesterday concerning his upcoming album and he expressed interest in a slower-paced radio single that I composed a few weeks ago. I've heard the singles that he's got on deck and I feel like if he uses this single right, he's gonna put the game on smash. Anyway I'll keep y'all posted on the record!

On another note, I jammed my ankle pretty good playing hockey so since I can't really walk right now I've had lots of time to work on beats and watch some sweet movies on T.V. 'Blue Streak' and 'Assassins" played....Antonio Banderas is Baddass in that one! lol
                                                                    My Poor Ankle

Well I gotta get back to the music but thanks for stopping in and showing love. Shout out to my dude Lil' Thrilla, welcome home Weezy and remember everyone life is too short so make sure you enjoy and appreciate everything you have! Stay Up Y'all.

Even without a Voice...I'ma speak my Mind! lol

What's Good Team? I'm just in the lab working on another beat and had the urge to talk to someone! It's Tuesday, November 2nd, and I have been without a voice since early Saturday morning! This was ok for Halloween since I was DJ'n anyway and didn't really need to talk to anyone but now it's just getting annoying! I've been confined to texting, Facebook and Twitter because I sound so terrible that nobody wants to talk to me! lol
The good news is I have been working on a couple new records and making pretty good progress. I will have one out and ready to go by the end of the week so stay tuned! Anyway hope y'all are having a great Tuesday...Another Day, Another Dolla right?
Oh almost forgot...Danny Fernandes' new album 'Automatic Luv' is in stores today so check that out!

Workin in the lab...gettin' it done

Halloween Madness

Happy Halloween Y'all!

Well we had a really good party last night at the crib. We hoped to keep the numbers small and fill it with people who like to party and that's exactly what we did. In attendance we had Medusa, an escape convict, a policeman, a naughty nurse, Cleopatra, an evil fairy, Donald and Daisy Duck, Stadler and Waldorf from the Muppets,  and Bananas in Pyjamas to name a few! Anyway yours truly kept the music on point and with the combination of drinking games and alcohol soaked gummies, the night was a success.
Anyway I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Halloween and if you're going hard tonight make sure that you get home safe.

Oh here's a little clip of me and my boy wildin' out caught on a phone...(I danced so much my legs were sore! hahaha) You can't take yourself too seriously right?!

Another Day Another Dolla

What's Good Everyone?!

It's Thursday which means for everyone who has a full time 9-5...Friday is up next! Even better is it's HALLOWEEN this weekend! I got a simple but funny costume ready to go on Saturday for the party @ my place. Gonna be some good food, good music (yours truly on that) and good looking girls in costumes...did I mention that I LOVE HALLOWEEN?! hahaha

Anyway down to business... I met up with my recording artist Odean last night and he let me know that he's all set to get back in the lab and start recording again. The last project we put out was his debut album titled "The Coronation", which sold pretty well independently and was distributed through HMV as well as others across the Country. I know he's been working hard perfecting his craft so I'm excited to keep y'all posted on his progress with the new material. For more on Odean check out my YouTube Channel or the Frozen Beat Entertainment Website. Both links are attached.

Blog is Officially Launched

OK so the site is up and running now...lookin' official I must say.  Anyway down to business. I picked up a pair of the 'Beats by Dr. Dre' Studio Headphones the other day and I must say they are some serious headphones. They have built in amps in the ears! I had to pick them up because my neighbour complained that her T.V was shaking while I was trying to mix-down a beat. I foresaw this as an issue if I ever wanted to get any work done at night.

I also got the photos back from Dizz and THEY MAKE ME LOOK GOOD! I am not very talented being in front of the camera so it says a lot about the photographer when he can make it fly! haha

The traffic to the blog tripled today so that's a great sign. I appreciate the support and now that I'm up and running I can get back to business with the beats and let you guys into my life.

If your a recording artist looking for production or simply wanna hit me up... GET @ ME!

Goodnight Team

Photos Done Soon

Hey what's good everyone?

I had a good time on set of my photoshoot with Dizz yesterday. The pictures were looking pretty good already so i'm stoked to see how they come out after he's put his magic on them. Anyway aside from that I've just been working on music (nothing new there).
Dizz Photgraphy

Oh almost forgot Niko Doughski (recording artist) just stopped by to pick up a beat for his upcoming album. I had a chance to hear some of the new material and it's sounding crazy. Well that's what it is...stay up y'all and I want to give a shout out to my homie Lil' Thrilla...Stay Safe and God Bless

Wuddup Y'all?

Ok so I think it's time I get at Dizz for some photos to get this blog looking official. I'm going to hit him up today and see what's good with his schedule. This guy is grinding hard in Ottawa, Montreal, New York, and New Jersey so I think it's only right that I get this connect going. I'll keep you posted!!!
