Sight for Sore Eyes

   Wuddup Gang?!

Let me start off by saying I hope y'all are having a good week! I'm sorry I missed the post last week but there was too much going on. First of all, I mentioned a couple of posts ago that I was thinking about getting my Motorcycle license...well I obtained that last friday. That being said, I've never even driven a motorcycle so I did the responsible thing and registered for the Training Course. It's a "no brainer" really as it's not worth risking your life not being fully prepared for obstacles that could be placed in your path. I'm taking the course in a couple weeks from now which also means I'm also currently shopping for a starter bike!

Something y'all don't know about me is that I am virtually blind in my left eye. It was about 7 years ago when my vision went and I tell you I was honestly too paranoid to go get my eyes looked at. I figured that if it was a tumour or something I'd rather not know. Well looking back at it now that was a terrible frame of mind. I mean it could have been something I could have fixed if I had of caught it early or if it was a tumour I could have seen it early and had it removed or treated. When I was with the doctor he asked me why it took me so long to come and have it looked at and truthfully I didn't really have an answer...I was flat out embarrassed. Luckily for me, my problem was not Glaucoma or a tumour (as was suspected) but in fact a case of Toxoplasmosis. Doc said that I more than likely picked it up from having cats as pets when I was a kid. In most cases the organism that gets into your eye occupies an area along the edge and deteriorates the tissue it inhabits and then falls dormant. In my case, the target was the centre of my eye leaving me unable to see any kind of detail. With the edge of the eye I can still see shapes and colours but that's about it...you could hold up fingers right in front of my face and I'd have no idea. It's also unfortunate that it's permanent and there's no way to fix it but hey, it could have been a whole lot worse and I'm thankful that's all it was.

Anyway on a positive note, I've been putting in work learning to play this guitar and my boys have been playing some solid ball lately. My company's name is on the back of those jerseys so it's about time they turn it around! Just kidding fellas.

Oh, almost forgot... Happy Canada Day (July 1st) to all my Canadians out there and Happy 4th of July to all my Americans! Y'all be safe over the next 10 days but don't let that stop you from goin' hard!!! All the best and I'll catch you on the flip side...or next thursday.

It Has Begun

    Wuddup Gang?!

Well it's Thursday so you already know what it is... time to stop in and let y'all know what's really good with me. Well, to be honest not much is new! I did start my guitar lessons this week so that's a good look as I'm excited to really get into it and absorb like a sponge ya dig? My teacher seems like a pretty cool dude and from what I've seen it looks like he plays a mean guitar.

The other night I saw my boys lose another baseball game and since my company's name is on the back of the jerseys, I expect y'all to pick up your socks! (hahaha just kiddin' fellas) I know they'll bounce back so no sweat there. Shout out to the TRV squad by the way!!!

I've been watching the Euros like crazy and I'm actually just checking out the Spain v. Rep. of Ireland game right now...wowzers. I'm a huge England supporter so I'm hoping that they can make something happen tomorrow!

Well I've got work to do on this guitar so I'm going to get into it but enjoy the weekend and I'll catch y'all on the flip side. Bless.

Working at that Guitar

     Wuddup Gang?!

I hope everyone had a great last 7 days. Mine definitely had ups and downs. On the positive I leased a few more records this week which of course not only increases the cash flow but gives me an opportunity to see how the records speak to various artists all over the world. When I first got into producing music money and fame were obviously part of the equation, however, the love for the music itself has always remained the most important to me. (Not that I'm rich and famous but you get the point) I know that sounds corny but it's true. Trust me I have records in my archive that I haven't even played for anyone and I'm not sure the madness behind that but it probably roots to the fact that I want to make good music and not waste my talent and product. That being said, who am I to judge another person? I can most certainly have an opinion towards someone's talent or body of work but that's not to say that someone else can't really enjoy listening to them. I try and keep that in mind when I'm approached by artists that I am unfamiliar with. Anyway I got caught rambling a little bit here but the point I was trying to make was I am open to work with all artists that have a passion and a real drive for success even if I'm not a big fan of your music. After all, I produce beats based on how I feel and what's going on inside of my mind...I can't hate if you're doing the exact same thing.

On a totally unrelated note, my dad hit me up this week telling me he's getting new ink done. When they say it's addictive they are not joking. He's been talking about getting this "Dragon" done for the past few weeks and I can see his eyes light up whenever it comes up in conversation. Remember Christmas as a kid? That's what I'm talking about.

Anyway team, I'm on the move. I'm setting up guitar sessions right now with a new teacher so I'll let y'all know how that goes next week. I'm also contemplating going for my Motorcycle license so check in next week to see what's good. It's Summer! Enjoy and God Bless.

Tis the Season

    Wuddup Gang?!

Well as another weekend approaches I hope y'all had a great week. Not much new on my end as I linked up with Niko Doughski and Odean last weekend to politic it a bit which gave me a chance to see what each of them has been working on. It's always a good feeling watching the fam do well.

Odean is reaching through this saturday to shop for some beats so we'll see what happens. I'm sure I got a few things that will catch his ear. Other than that I've been getting a few calls from potential clients with regards to coming and recording but unfortunately I had to steer them away as I'm just not in the right place to be engineering these days. Truthfully I just don't really enjoy doing it. I'd much rather be creating my own production as it's 100% creative control and well, let's face it...more money selling beats.

I'm still working on learning the guitar and I'll begin taking lessons in the next couple of weeks so of course I'll keep y'all updated with a progress report on that! It's just business as usual so for any of you artists out there that are looking for production, feel free to scream at me and we'll work something out. With the same breath I will say please don't come at me with hands out and empty pockets. I can definitely work with someone on a budget but this is no charity...come correct.

On a more personal note, I showed my dad some new ink that I recently had done and he seems to have his heart set on visiting my artist and getting a Dragon done on his arm. Nothing like watching your dad get Tatted Up! haha.

Well on that note I'm out on that shave and shower flex but I hope y'all have a great weekend and I'll talk to you next thursday. If you want to holla before then you can reach me through here or get @ me on twitter. I also wanna give a quick shout out to my fam holding down my hometown of Ottawa with CapCityHipHop! I see you over there...SALUTE.

         I'm gone, God Bless

Back from the Dead

Wuddup Gang?!

I hope everything has been good with everyone. It was a hectic winter on my end...truthfully more so with life stuff ya dig? I did get the chance to meet and become close with some amazing people though which I wouldn't trade for anything. On top of that I got through the whole hockey season without picking up a major injury! Sure I got a few more battle scars from sticks to the face and whatnot but hey, comes with the territory right?

I also picked up some tattoos along the way over the winter and I'm hoping to have my right arm sleeved by the end of the summer. Man, people don't front when they say this stuff is addictive!

Here's one dedicated to my Cuz, Eric Shea. Miss You Playerrr!

Well it's time I get back on these beats. If you're interested in any music production you can get @ me via email or BBM- 22FE08A4. All the best for the rest of the week and I'll touch base with y'all next week. Go hard and God Bless.
