Wuddup Gang!?
Ok so I told y'all I was going to try and find a pic or two of my dad back in the day and here's what I got. The first one was taken in 1973 which as we all know is just a few years after Woodstock. (BTW Yes, my parents were hippies.) The second pic is the back cover of the Vendetta EP. Dad (DUGGIE) is the singer.
So today I'm going to continue on how my parents first got me so consumed by music. We flash forward to about 1988 or so and my mom and I have moved back to Ottawa from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida to stay with my grandparents. My mom came back alone and had little...no job, no real belongings...just me! lol Anyway, once my mom got her feet under her, we moved what little we had into a small two bedroom apartment. As I mentioned we didn't have many possessions, but one of the things we did have was a radio. The radio was constantly on and Mom always tells the story that there were many times when we'd be eating dinner and a good song would come on, we'd just stop eating and get up and dance. I was too young to remember those times but I do remember when I was about 8 years old and going to daycare, I used to perform dances at the talent shows. We had moved to a town home by this time so I now used to dance in the basement, put together a routine and then later perform it for my mom. It's too bad we didn't have a video camera during this time because I'm sure the footage would not only be humiliating but absolutely hilarious.
So I used to spend every Wednesday and every second weekend at my dad's house and what people find interesting is that instead of him buying me toys, he instead used to take me to the music store. We'd walk into the shop and he would say pick out any album you want. Whether it was a CD or Cassette, I probably had 100 albums by the age of 10.
Well I have another segment I want to touch on but I'm going to save it for the next post. I hope everyone is having a good weekend and I'll be bloggin' before the weekend. Catch Y'all on the flipside!

Blast from the Past Part 1
Wuddup Gang!?
So I hope everyone is makin' it through the winter ok. It was really cold last week up in Canada so I was quite happy having an auto-starter installed into my car yesterday. Aside from that I haven't been up to much. I was kickin' it with my buddy Sorin yesterday and he was mentioning that I haven't blogged lately. I've actually been asked this numerous times which I take as a good sign that people are actually reading this! (not to mention I have all of the stats recorded as well but that's besides the point! lol) Well I'll tell y'all what I told Sorin and that is that nobody wants to read about the same thing over and over. No one wants to read, "I worked on some music today in the studio, had some dinner, watched a movie and then went to sleep." I'm going to try my best and keep this thing fresh for y'all. If I'm having just a regular day I'll be just hitting up twitter. However, if something is going down or I feel like sharing some of my past, I'll let you have it via the blog. So on that note I'm going to respond to a commonly asked question and that is how I became so engulfed by music. Well the two word answer would simply be, my parents. Over the next few posts I'll explain why. This is the beginning of The Sean Frost Story.
It all started before I was born, my parents were always deeply influenced by music. They would get tickets to every Act they wanted to see no matter where they were playing. Actually they even went a step further as my dad used to carry a camera/ fake pass around his neck claiming that he was 'Press' so that the two of them could sneak backstage. I know Boss move right? Well that's my dad for you. In fact he was telling me a story last weekend (actually re-telling a story but those are always the best ones right?) of a time that they went to New York to see David Bowie's first show in North America. There were stars and celebrities (including Salvador Dahli...one of my fav Artists) throughout the crowd as this was a huge event. Anyway Dad told me that he left my mom in her seat so he could sneak backstage to get a chance at meeting the Icon David Bowie. He was successful and was actually present to greet Bowie and the band off stage and walk with them back to the dressing room. Although he didn't speak a word, he recounts the experience as something he would always remember. Furthermore, Dad is a singer and played in many bands throughout his youth but there are two groups that stand out in my mind. One being a Canadian Musical that he starred in called, "Starboy" and the other from a band called, "Vendetta". I will see what I can do to grab a photo and throw it up on the next post.
So that concludes Part 1. Over the next couple entries I will keep letting y'all into my musical past so you can see how I got started and some of the things that inspire me when I create. Thanks for reading and I'll get at you guys real soon! Oh and if you have any questions or anything you can keep hitting me up whether it's here, twitter or facebook. (both links are on this page) Peace!

Let Loose
What's Good Gang!?
I'll tell you guys I have been so focused on music lately that I've realized I haven't really done anything exciting for a minute. I guess that's not such a bad thing with it being Winter and all but in any case tonight I think I'm a link up with the Fam and hit the town...even in this blizzard. It's my dude Leprechaun's birthday tonight so it's definitely on. I'll try and get some pics to show you guys how it went. You know what the funny thing is? It's unless your going out with girls, guys never bring a camera to take any pictures. We could be having the time of our lives and not only would we not remember any of it in the morning, but we would have no classic pictures to try and refresh our memories! #BringingaCameraTonightOnlyToProbablyLoseIt
So Let me fill you guys in a little bit on The Sean Frost Story. (that of course being my life) I have been feeling very motivated lately on creating music that no one is really making. Obviously I've been making some street records and mainstream records but the majority of my time has been spent on really trying to find my niche in this music industry. Over the last couple of weeks I've been feeling really good about the music coming out of here so we'll now see what my Reps can do for me! I believe I've got a jump to Toronto coming up in a couple of weeks for a shoot followed by a little R&R in New York a couple of weeks later. I'm definitely looking forward to both of those little trips right there!
Well...time to run! I'm looking out the window right now and my city is finally getting hit with this snow. We all knew it would come sooner or later but there was always that little bit of hope right? (Obviously not talking to all my Snow Boarders/ Skiers) Ok well I'm seriously leaving. Bye.

Deal is Done
Wuddup Gang!?
First off Happy New Year to Everyone. Let me tell you things were pretty good over here. The whole Fam came through and we definitely got to bottle poppin'. The next morning during some cleanup I collected 7 bottles of Champagne, 2 bottles of Belvedere, 2 bottles of Goose, 1 Bottle of Ciroc, 1 bottle of Gold Patron, 1 Bottle of Crown Royal, 1 bottle of Malibu and Sour Puss for shots, a few random mickeys and fifths of miscellaneous alcohol and tons of assorted beer bottles. Not to mention a third of the Texas of Crown Royal was consumed. All in all....my people are alcoholics! Anyway we had a wicked countdown followed by widespread Patron shots in honour of my cousin. The music bumped 'til 5am before we shut it down. All in all it was a good one. Here's a pic of some of the bottles we had for the party.
Aside from the bash, I officially signed a representative deal that I'm quite excited about. No longer will I have to deal with negotiating prices and worrying about all the contracts and stuff. Not to mention that it's looking like I'm going to be doing some traveling around the world in the process! Truthfully I'm just stoked to be able to focus on creating music and having everything else taken care of by the professionals. Well I'm actually just running out to the Keg to politic it with the Fam so I'm out but I hope y'all had a great New Year's and I appreciate you stoppin' by to read what's really good! Stay Up and God Bless.
